help with tailpipes

    hey guys need some help
    some of you may think this was a ridiculous thing to do but i did it anyways
    the previous owner on my mav had a straight pipe on one side and an import tailpipe with a catalyst converter on the other so i cut both pipes in the middle now its extremely loud
    how do i quite it down a bit without adding an entire pipe down the car ??

    heres the exhaust i run on my olds. the turn downs quieted it down a little at idle. but i like it
