Hey guys, noob here. I stumbled upon these forums, did a little browsing, and really liked what i saw. If anyone is wondering, i have a 77 ford maverick, red in color with red interior. I swapped out the 250 I6 for a 302 v8 that i had a local performance shop build for me. It was a 350hp package, but it feels more like an honest 280 to 300hp. My C4 was swapped out for one with beefed up internals, manual valve body, and a B&M starshifter to bang through the gears (i know, all three of em). The rear end is finished with 3.80's and a detroit locker, although i stuck with the 8 inch. Anyone ever had problems with them holding up? I soon plan on tackling body and paint, but i am a 20 year old student with house payments, so the project crawls along pretty slow. Ill get some pics up soon to see what you guys think of it so far.

Welcome to the board. That 8" sounds tuff enough for the hp you are running.

Welcome to the board, I agree on the 8" (especially if your running street tires), save your money for other mods.
