Hello, all! I'm a non-traditional student at Colorado State University. I've got a '73 2-door V8 Comet. She's got some issues, but she's never left the family, and I'm not about to get rid of her. My great-great-aunt bought the Comet new when she was 71. She'd only put about 50k miles on it by the time my mother inherited it when our only car died in 1997. I was given the Comet in my second year at Western State College in '99. My wife and I have been all over the state in this car, including over Cottonwood Pass, which is only half paved and is actually kind of terrifying in a rear-wheel vehicle. Anyway, that's probably enough of an introduction. I look forward to poking around the forum, and I'll post pictures if I remember to take some next time she's out of the garage.
Welcome to the forum. I am in the process of building one for my dad. I am located in the Brighton area. Maybe I will see you around.
Thanks for all the welcomes. The original genesis of the name had nothing to do with the Corvette, but I do really like them. If ever I can afford a second classic/project car, it'll be a Stingray.
