Hi Everyone, I just joined the forum as i have been doing alot of reading on here as i have recently became the proud owner of a 1972 4 door Ford Maverick, of which some might not think of as the coolest model of them all, i am really stoked that i found it It's in a pretty good shape as far as i can tell, i am not that handy with cars, but it drives pretty good, and most of the car is still orginal i believe. i have been driving almost every day for the last 3 weeks and i only noticed a few things, a leaking heater core (i think) and a bit high oil usage. here are some photos: anyways, thank you guys for making this forum happen, because i think i will need your help Hope you all have a good day!
Hi Good evening Toby! nice to hear a neighbour is on this forum too I didn't even know that the lid was a rare item why is that?
it's an aftermarket piece. there's a vintage ad for it in the gallery: http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=8563
Thanks 71gold! may i ask, is it okay to Post technical questions in this topic or should i create a new thread?
Welcome ,Im sure your car is a lot of fun . The manufacturers and remanufacturers here say burning 1 quart of oil in 500 miles is normal for a Ford. Check your spark plugs ,colors.
Welcome from Northern California! I had the pleasure of visiting the Netherlands about 10 years ago while vacationing in Germany. It was very beautiful there!
