What brand are they? I'd check out the website of whoever made them and see if they have a wiring diagram. If you don't know who made them, I'd check somewhere like MadElectric or such. Should wire up just like your regular starter though. I don't know of any special trick to wiring them. The GM guys often use a Ford starter solenoid on their cars, and they have to make a shunt to fit on their starter/solenoid to connect a couple of the posts, but a Ford should not have any of those issues, just connect the wires like you normally would.

Mini torque starters do have a solenoid mounted on top of them like a gm. Even if you get one for an earllier Ford application. Just tie the posts on the starter together with a piece of 12ga wire, and then run your starter cable down to it like you normally would.

    I was curius:

Couldn't you go straight to the second terminal of the solenoid on the high torque starter with the starter cable? (Another words, no jumper).

The bendix is pulled in by the solenoid. Its not centrifugal like a standard starter. So you need to energize it.

What I dont like about that set up is you have a heavy gauge wire that is always energized running down around the headers and exhaust. A much better war is to take the normal starter wire from our starter solenoid, hook it to the battery post down on the starter, and run the jumper down on the starter to the spade terminal. That way its only energized in the start position.

I agree with Mavaholic, In Maverick Man's case his starter came with a warning which implies that the starter can remain engaged if wired with a jumper. I'm sure it is just them covering their ASS, it would be an extreme case were the starter would actually generate enough current to keep the solenoid engaged.
