Well, my 72 baby got smashed down the passenger side this morning by a hit and runner. Got tag number and cops are looking for the guy now. Got to get her fixed but don't want filler, got the front fender, rocker, door and rear quarter. Anyone know where you can get new skins for these areas. Been looking, but no luck.
Skins? You can find doors and fenders on here most of the time, as far as quarter panel, try autokrafters. I see you are in Florida...what part I am in Panama City and know of a guy that has some doors if he has not sold them yet they were pretty reasonable I may can pull a fender off one I have here in not too bad of shape. For-what-ever-its-worth, I had that happen to me many years ago and my insurance company found the guy before the police did. The problem with that was he was insured by the same company and he was under the influence at the time, so they canceled his insureance and wouldn't pay the claim. I was able to get the money from his family, but it was a hassle. I hope things go better for you and that you get everything covered.
Greetings from Dunedin .... A board member in Port Richey is parting out a Comet that has some frame rot. The overall condition of the body is pretty good going by pics I have seen. I need to take a trip up to see him myself.
theres nothing wrong with putting filler as long as you pull the dent out near perfect and use some bondo and glazing putty save you alot of money
