Which Hooker headers are they? The one's that fit are 6901's. Need to be floor shift and no power steering. If power steering yo need a drop down bracket.:)

You'll just need to get a drop down bracket for the power steering. The 6901's go in from underneath. Passenger side can go in pretty straightforward. The drivers side is a little trickier. You need to lift the engine about 4 inches to clear the steering. But no mods are needed. :)

boy, i sure hope they're 6901's. 50 bucks is a cheap find. depending on how many miles they've been used.. pops said headers warp over time.

I've had mine on for 5 or 6 years now. Course they're only used for bracket racing.:)

Do a search on Hedman 88300. Several people have used them in a 302 application.

Seriously, do a search. These things, Hooker or Hedman, do not just drop in.

You need to pull the engine off the mounts, and put one in from the top, one from the bottom, and one of those is with the engine lifted, the other one wasnt, I don't recall which.

It is not a fun job the first time, and take notes, so you can make that 3 hour job a 30 minute job the next time.

I actually did a writeup on it in my website so that I wouldn't have to fight it next time I do it. It took me forever and several busted knuckles the first time, then everytime after that was pretty easy.

I can back that up, I installed mine over 20 years ago now, and I was almost divorced before I was married, my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) was in a hurry to go somewhere, it was the first time she ever helped work on my car, and it was quite a few years before she ever did again, and I was using a hoist to install them back then, in her Dad's shop..
