My sister recently bought a new car, and I was given her old car for parts and pretty much anything I could salvage. I remembered that we spent a pretty penny to put a new ac system in that piece of crap (It was a chevy cavalier, if that matters). The AC is ice cold, and the heat warms up relatively fast. My 74 comet came with factory A/C, which now doesn't work.

Is there any way I could get the AC system out of there and transplant it into my comet? Just wondering if I could do it myself or if I need to take it to my mechanic.

I personally wouldn't even think about doing it. It would be easier to put the motor out of the Cavalier into the Maverick than it would be to put the AC stuff over. :yup::dance:
