I'm an aging diesel mechanic in need of a chassis overhual and some suspension work ... unfortunately my baby is currently in worse shape than I am ... she's a yeallow '75 maverick 2 door with a black vinyl top she was my first car .. my Dad and I hualed her out of a guy's woods .. along with another car and got paid $100 to do it .. the fact it had a title and the head off rusted solid 250 could be replaced with an engine my dad had in the garage all contributed to her becoming my first car. in '97 right before getting stationed in Korea my Dad decided I was old enough to handle a V8 .. so he built me one and she was a serious machine by the time I returned from my mandatory year in the East in '99 one week after my Dad died some ignorant POS in a hyundai decided that the funny red sign with the white word stop didn't apply to him .. so i broadsided him at 30 MPH .. no brakes were applied .. needless to say the insurance nazis totalled my baby and offered me a whopping sum for her .. right so after I got done choking the bastard with his tie I took the $300 which I got after keeping the car. NOW I have my baby in the shop and am ready to start a serious overhual .. she still runs ... (pure luck IMO) .. tires .. shot ... brakes ..more like brakes? .. body ... ummm lets not go there ... and .. interior ... ummm .. like I said serious overhual My condolences to all those who post on this site since you just got drafted to answer stupid questions ... why ?.. becuase I am a diesel technician by trade and apperently they never made diesel mavericks soooo .. it's the dumb question hour with cmbtengnr welcome to my nightmares
to the board. The only stupid question, is the one you don't ask...type in key words, under "search". Your questions may get answered before you ask them....
Howdy and I dont see a problem. This board and the people here are a solution to your nightmare. Be sure to check out the MCCI and attend the Roundup in July. You will go from a nightmare to sweet dreams. BTW, my Sprint has been totaled twice had I accepted the insurance decision. But its still going strong as I'm sure yours will again.
there are a couple of us here on the site that tried running a mav on diesel, didnt work too well though. let us know what you dont find under the search section.
Welcome to the board. Don't be afraid to ask questions here. No matter what the question is, someone here is bound to have the answer.
