Hello, I'm new here, as well as new to the Maverick. I've done my research on the mechanics end, but the replacement exterior parts are proving to be difficult. So...

What I need to know is: Are the back bumpers on the 70-72 Mav the same as the old Mustang rear bumpers, like 65-66? Cause it sure as hell looks the exact same to me.

Also: Is there anywhere that makes the reproduction aluminum taillight trim, as well as aluminum headlight and hood trim? (It may be the old-school stainless steel and not aluminum, idk.)

Lastly, If anyone knows, will the 60's mustang seats fit in the Mav?

It's Waco. Supposedly THE heart (geographic center) of Texas.

Also, What kind of modification had to be done to the seats? The rails to the floor, or rails to the seat itself..? I can weld, I just need to know what to do.

To fan 2488 with the mustang bumpers: how close did the bumper look? Hell, mines rusted to oblivion...

    WACO!!!???

That isn't DEEP in the heart of Texas...That is "off to the side of the Pancreas of Texas"!:D

I cannot answer your question...I am currently in a similar predicament. I have ordered a set of stock maverick sliding brackets to install my seats ON TO, but have not figured out how to put other seats into a maverick without them.

I am not using Mustang seats, but Honda Accord seats, but regardless, if the seats don't fit the grooves in the floor, then you have the exact same problem that I have, just varying in degrees...:hmmm:

Besides... I thought Centerville was the center (ie. the HEART) of Texas...
