Now that we got that out of the way :Handshake

I'm here looking for some info on a donor car to swap some things into my gals 61 Comet. I've heard a Granada or a Maverick with these parts 250ci, C4, and 8" rear, they should bolt right in along with brakes.

What would be the best year for me to look for?

I see in my Motor's repair manual that the '69 250 made 155hp stock and the '75 only made 72hp. I know they pretty much killed power in the mid 70's due to that gas crunch.

That kinda sums it up for know.
Some of you might have chatted with me about other things on other sites like fordmuscle.com, ford-truck.com or the HAMB.

    My other rides are a 56 f-100 (351C, C6, 9", blah blah blah)
and just bought a 62 Falcon that's getting trans formed into a gasser style drag car.

Thanks in advance for any light you shed on any of my projects.

Now I'm off to the forums....

The engines aren't that much different ... 69 was rated at gross horsepower ... 75 was measured in NET horsepower .... All car HP's dropped between 71 and 72 when they changed the measuring standard ...

Find a 75-77 cause they have disc brakes.
