To my knowledge, only Robert Raney has done this swap and his puter is down.

everything?..... lots of time and money you may or may not already know, they wont just drop in,... the shock towers must come out, thats your 1st hurdle, so think mustang 2 type front end or some other custom deal . past that, the usual expenses with swapping a motor,... and dont forget about having to make mounts,...and exhaust,....and...

    good luck on it

My opinion the 429 isn't a good engine. That engine had lots of problems & parts are hard to find. Better choice if you want a big block is the 460. Edelbrock has good heads for this engine. Lots of parts available. :2cents: :2cents:

I must be missing something,.... they are the same motor, both 385 series engines, just a different stroke

not really. Similar, but not the same. Mavericks have more in common with 64 1/2 and 65 Mustangs as far as the engine compartment goes...

For 429, definately. C6 if you want to stick with an automatic. Good luck getting it to fit!

You must convert the front suspension you can a kit from

    http://www.rcmotorsports.net/

I have a Complete (less carb) 429 and a C6 for $400 you pick it up

just1993 nothing wrong with the 428 either they had some valvetrain stability issues that are easily resolved much like the legendary 427 both are in the FE family of engines.
