I was looking for a Vega, to put a small block in, when I found my Maverick instead.

Oooo Paintank! Love the Mopars, but who's got the money to buy one of those these days?!? It's a crying shame that those of us that appreciate some of these neat old pieces of iron can't afford to own any of them any more. Quick story, I saw a guy with an old Chrysler at a car show that was obviously daily driven. I can't even remember what it was...either a Roadrunner or something like that. He was about in tears that nobody else would drive their Mopars any more because they were worth too much. Just goes to show how far from a hobby and interest it's become for some people. I guess that the guys that owned the old roadsters back in the 50's went through that until they started making fiberglass bodies. Oh well...to everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season, turn, turn, turn... Sorry I tend to break into song occasionally!

I would still be into Cougars and Mustangs. Currently, I have 3 Cougars and 2 Mustangs.

By the way, I drive my cars to all the shows I attend. That is what they were meant for, to be driven.

I would probably either have an old 60's VW Beetle or a Fox Body Mustang if I didn't get into Mavericks. I had been looking long and hard for the "right" early 80's hatchback Fox Body when I came across pictures of my dad's old Comet one night, which at that point in time I had pretty much forgot about.

8 Mavericks and 50,000 miles in a Maverick later, I still don't have a Comet, but I am enjoying the Mavericks none the less. :) And I did find find the "right" early 80's Fox Body earlier this year, in the form of a straight, rust free 1980 Mercury Capri RS. Couldn't pass it up for $150. It'll be a future project.

I do want a 70 ranchero painted like my 70 grabber so I have somthing cool to tow it to the rnd-up with

I always wanted to build 460 stoker based Blown 551 ci 1980ish Mercury Zephyr wagon. I also like the 80s Tbirds. Thank God Mavs were invented
