Import motor swap?

    Anyone ever thought of droping an import motor in there maverick like an RB, SR, or 2JZ?

    So far, just you I think, but a TT Supra could make a real ripper if you want to go to the trouble.

    when you say import motor, all i can seem to picture is a Lambo v-12 with turbos for some reason:hmmm::D

    Go for it, just don't chop your car up soo much that you will spend a life time to put it back to where it was when you started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think a nice 3.0 V6 from a nissan would work, I have been seeing the 300z's in the wrecking yard lately DOHC, fuel injection, manual trans all sound great. sand off the nissan and put an oval on it :D

    Why not a Ford you ask, Most ford v6's aren't very refined kind of a comprimise. The v6's that are out now are much better and I feel they are as good if not better than the imports but, they are not in the cheap wrecking yet.

    Jamie, so funny you say that.....

    My friends have been bugging me to put a Skyline motor in from the first day they laid eyes on my Mav.

    They are all into imports.......it did cross my mind, but for the few grand a skyline swap would be, I could get a nice 351, have an easier time putting it in, and still have some cash left over:)
