About a year and half ago I bought the 75 Grabber for my son, we are the second owners of this car, and the first owner lived about 20 mi. away, I bought it from his friend who was selling it for the widow, anyway it came with every slip imaginable, the receipts for the motor overhaul, a picture before it was painted, they supposedly painted it the original colors black on top, white on the bottom, I read the label on the inside of the door, and with the codes from this forum and Chilton's was able to figure out that it was built with a three speed on the floor and Etc. What I need to know is there a company that can get the original info from the car when they ordered it, the reason I'm asking I seem that there was a web site that offered to do it for $30.00 bucks, or is this info I can get easily myself. I called the original dealer in Shelton, they were no help, the widow is not listed. Any help appreciated, Marty P.S. the grabber is mine, he did'nt like the manual shift so he has a 66 T-bird now, and he has to feed it.
You can get a History 999 report for it from Ford. I don't know the phone number, maybe somebody will post it for you. You will need your VIN to give to them.
When I got my line info for my Stallion from Ford, all I did was call the 800 customer relations number to Dearborn in the phone book. I explained I was restoring a Ford product and what I wanted. She took the info and forwarded it to their archives people. About 5 weeks later I got my letter with the full production line info. There were no charges for the service from FoMoCo.
look under the driver seat... between the foam cusion and the steel springs. there should be a "build sheet" if you car still has it, it will be VERY flimsy and brittle. it will tell you EVERYTHING you want to know. i had mine laminated. be very careful. they are real neat to look at.
