has anyone ever used these headers, I have searched the forum but can not find anyone that has used these wondering what fitment would be like with them on my '76 that I am converting to V8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRI-Y-STAIN...ash=item27c15d1c2b:g:BhMAAOSwDNdV251a&vxp=mtr
Well I really dunno, but looks like the pipes at flange extend outward far enough that they would hit the shock towers, that's the reason 5.0 Mustang headers won't work...
so I would need to go with something like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-SB-289...ash=item2a5219d881:g:7BQAAOSw-vlVoDrn&vxp=mtr or maybe these http://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-63-77-M...ash=item5d5b821824:g:2noAAOSwgQ9VuCQ1&vxp=mtr
There are headers made specifically for our cars with either a 302 or 351W! Are you looking for something different?
The following are two examples for our cars with a 302/5.0L application: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hok-6901hkr/overview/year/1972/make/ford/model/maverick http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-88300/overview/year/1972/make/ford/model/maverick I personally have the Hooker 6901s.
Yes, if you have power steering. I switched to manual steering. The PS extended bracket solution is not very robust. If I were to use a PS drop down bracket, I believe I would weld it rather than bolt it in place so it could not work loose.
I`m not a big fan of any tri y header especially if you are looking for HP,I`ve never seen a dyno article on any motor that showed they perform well.
Here's one, I couldn't remember what thread this was in. http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/someone-was-looking-for-a-support-brace-for-ps.106426/#post-1078072
