I guess am thinking warm weather and car shows. I have never been to the Iola Show in Wisconsin in July, I know there are some WI. members here. I am going to be in Wisconsin that week. How does the show rate? It sounds like they have a big swap meet@ over 4000 vendors. Let me know how it is. thinking sun and fun!

    Iola Swap & Show

I was there last year for the first time; I bought my 73 Comet GT there at the corral. IMO it's a great event. I plan on going this year {weather permitting} and hopefully takin the Comet if I get all my upgrades and safety issues resolved. I think I will have done enough to attend. If you get the chance go at least once; If not this year than in the future. It's abt 225mi from my south surburban Chicago location. If u decide to go let me know and I'll give u my cell #.

If ur thinking abt going make ur reservation now and cancel if u change ur mind. I made mine in Jan and cud only get room abt 20 miles away from the event.
    BTW Very Nice MAV. :Handshake

I had to cancel my reservations for the meet. Something came up and forced to withdraw. Anyway, they have a huge swap meet and lots of vendors. I reget having to cancel. If u don't have a reservation u may have to stay 50miles away, unless u luck out.
If u go Im sure u won't be disappointed.

Were u there last year? I saw a couple of guys in one of the eating areas wearing Mav/Comet T-Shirts.

I did'nt think a lot abt the shirts cuz had'nt expected to leave Iola w/ a Maverick/Comet. I was planning to buy something - did'nt know what - but something.
I got a last minute deal on the Comet and satisfied how it turned out.
Anyway, I won't be able to attend this year. I do hope to make the Norhtern Illinois Street Rod event this Sunday in McHenry, Il. near the WI. border.

I was there last year but I did not have a tee shirt on. Didn't get there this year. Decided Friday morning to stay here and finish the brakes on the '70, now that I have the correct front hoses.

Next year for sure. I should plan it out for a Wisconsin mini-meet ..........:thumbs2:

I rode the motorcycle over there Friday and found a hell of a deal. A pair of Maverick buckets with tracks for $50. I couldn't believe my eyes. Luckily I met a friend there who had a truck to haul things back with.
