Got a 71 maverick here I'm pulling motor and trans... Shop apron has a very slight slant nothing to worry about I've pulled 30 motors on it.. Well tonight I had the motor up ontop of the rad support just about to come out.. Front wheel literally blew out into 2 pieces and the hoist flopped forward dropping the engine back into the car then continuing to flip an land on my foot, may have a broken bone in my foot but it's literally the best thing hat could of came of this... Just a reminder.. Even the safest of things you have done 100 times can turn ugly... Be safe working on your car.. Most things are preventable.
I was moving my car around last weekend, like I've done a hundred times, and two of the jack stands slipped out, kiddy corner to each other...the car just balanced there...kinda spooky...
yeah .... glad things didn't go horribly bad for you guys. I had my first Comet roll off of one jack stand once (hadn't set the second one yet). The frame hit the garage floor because the back tire wasn't on the car. My younger sister came running out into the garage, fully expecting to see two twitching legs sticking out from under the car. Instead, she got to learn a few new words ...
