I need to reset my pinion angle it sits nose down works okay on the street but hit 90 on the track starts vibrating. I have some 4 degree shims to correct the angle (already running 2 degree ones) but I lose the centering pin with the 4 degree ones, without me killing car and disassembling to measure any one know the size of bolt used in the centering pin I can figure out pin height (head) just need bolt size.
Also anyone know a good source for non stock ones that ship to Canada

does speedway motors ship to canada?
they should have the pins you need. im not 100% but i think the pins are 5/16s and use the smallest head of the 3 common ones available.

I have same problem. Was planning on cutting my perches off and welding them back on 4 degrees around. Local axle shop will straighten tubes if they warped from the welding for $40.

I currently have 6 degrees of shims on and it is even quieter. But mine would vibrate like crazy from around 30 mph on up before I shimmed it.

You could prolly use an allen head cap screw (with the head shortened in a lathe or with a saw or grinder) if you could find one with a long enough shank...

X 2 on the allen head bolt. Also think they're 5/16's in diameter. As for the height of the head, I doubt you'll find one that's too high, there's a lot of room there in the axle saddle with many saddles. I was fighting the D'shaft vibes too with mine for the longest, and then accepted the fact that what was to be was to be. Then I swapped out the C4 for the current Toploader 4 speed. My vibes have disappeared with the Toploader. Not sure if the change was something wrong with the C4, or just a slight change (possibly) in the angles with the change in transmissions.

What angle did you guys all end up with before your noise went away?

And here I thought I have been the only one with this problem all of these years...

my c4 vibrated also. i figured it was an internal problem with it. when i went to my t5 it was gone. i set all my pinion angle 2 degrees down and never have drive shaft vibration problems. for example on mashori's car we built the 9" custom for it with the fox mustang aluminum drive shaft and a t5. he ran in the silver state classic at 140mph for over 15 min. no vibration.
