A good friend of ours who owned a 1972 Comet passed away last Sunday from a massive heart attack. His name was John and he was only 53 years old. We painted his Comet almost 12 years ago. He was not active on the Maverick Message Boards but he really loved his Comet. Some of you may remember his car from Carlisle many years ago. It was a gold '72 Comet GT with a white top. That car was his pride and joy. Over the past few years he stopped showing it in favor of just driving it and enjoying it. The car needed some mechanical work and he planned to bring the car over to us this spring so we could get it running good again. Now the car will go to his wife and two sons. They are going to get the car in good running order again and take it to as many local shows as they can in John's memory.
That is sad, Jean - my thoughts go out to John's family Did John have this car at Heislers Dairy from time to time as I've seen one just like it there
That's too bad Hopefully his family will carry-on with his Comet legacy. Thoughts and prayers go to his friends and family.
