For a 302 car, is there a correct molded lower radiator hose available with an anti-collapse spring already inside? I've read a lot of folks are just buying a universal flex hose and removing the spring.

The original lower hose will not have a spring, the only place I found a molded original is at carquest... It doesn't collaps... I've seen people use the mister gasket bendable metal hose as well...

Rock Auto has them too, so does Oreillys. Mines from Rock Auto and I'm almost positive it's collapsing. What brand is the one from carquest?

You can wind your own spring from a piece of coat hanger wire and stuff it in there.

Can't say as I remember ever selling a lower hose without a spring, the lower that was on my car had one.
