I bought March Serpentine 1670 pulley kit on e-bay obviously I don't know which belt number or for which car application. I still have stock 302 alt, alt bracket and damper.

Did you get the instruction with the kit? If not march says the simplest way to find out belt size is take a piece of string and measure it between the pulleys. Then just do a search for that belt size may differ with different pulley, and the use of powersteering, and AC.

I think the instructions say what size belt to use.

Then again I did not buy the 1670 kit. I got the 30180 kit.

Thanks for reply... no instuction in the box I got it used... and my girl friend string it's too small to fit there :biglaugh:

    March answer:

Unfortunately, I do not have a suggested belt size for that part # due to so many different variances in motors. The easiest way would be to route a string around the pulleys the way the belt would wrap and tie it tight. Then cut the string and measure the length, that will give you a good starting poing. You may still have to try a few different sizes until you get the proper belt.
    Thanks Elijah

I have the same kit but have not installed yet. The instructions mention nothing about belt size, but I did check around on the web and got 38" to 41". You can measure with a cloth tape to get your size or just go to a local auto store and buy a 39" 6 rib belt to see how it fits, might get lucky and not have to take the belt back.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
or just get all the sizes within an inch apart so you don't have to make 10 million trips to the parts store! just return the ones that don't work ;)

it will work... use spacers to line them up ;)
