Sorry guys that it took me so long to post this but..... well i have been busy. I want to first of all say i had a great time seeing some of the old crew that i know from the Maverick / Comet world and meeting new guys also. Great seeing a new Maverick and Comet in person, two really nice cars indeed! hooters_8_hooters_outside_sign_copy_original.jpg

Here is the roll call of who was at Hooters for our little get together.

Gord Stewart .............. (his mighty Maverick was sleeping at home):ratrod:

    Zac....................................

Yes the food was slow coming but we had some "other" stuff to watch and keep our minds and eyes occupied. I must thank Zac for providing the "dash plaques" (which look amazingly like die cast Mavericks).:D I asked one of the friendly Hooter girls to display it in all it's glory.
    .......................... hooters_9_hooters_girl_with_dash_plaque_copy_original.jpg ..............................

That has got to be one of the nicest dash plaques i have ever seen.

Larry Winter won a couple of Beer glasses for best of show in the Maverick and Comet division (must be the Grabber hood). I myself won a t-shirt for best paint. :naughty::idea:

In the end i had a great time, i had not been to Hamilton in a long time, and as usual a trip to Hooters is always fun and if it is on a classic car cruise night it's even better. It was also nice to see the same amount of Comets to Mavericks for a change. Thanks to all who came, now maybe the next Maverick - Comet get together should be in Woodstock eh! :thumbs2:

They were so happy that we brought out our Mavericks and Comets that they had all the snow melted so our cars would not get messy.

Here is a picture of the rest of the parking lot.

Another funny point one of the comets wants to be a maverick so it was really 2 1/2 mavericks to 1 1/2 comets
