I may have the chance to buy a Mercury Monarch with front disks as well as a 1973 Maverick with front disks.... I have searched and know the Grenada/Monarch brakes will fit, but is there any advantage to them over the Maverick disks? I am building a low mileage 1971 Maverick for my wife... she wants a show car of her on to show in the stock classes, since I show in Modified/Street Machine with my 1964 Fairlane.
Her car has four lug drums all the way around, was going to swap the 5-lub drum rear from a 1973 Maverick and a set of front disks, this way we get better stopping and can fit one of my spare sets of Magnum 500's...

Just for information, a 73 Maverick never came with disc brakes so someone added them.

The Maverick may be a 1974... haven't seen it yet.
