I have been in Iraq for 10 months now and everytime I get on the road, which is often (in a convoy), I look high and low for a Maverick or Comet. The Kuwaities love their automobiles so its nothing to see ferrari's, Lotus, porche's and any other high dollar car you can think of but, emagine my surprise when I saw a MAVERICK. Just when I had given up on finding one I took another 800 mile trip in to kuwait and that is when I saw, passing me like I was sitting still I would like to add, was a beautiful candy apple red Maverick and a blue camaro. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it to send back but, my HUMMER wouldn't go fast enough to catch it. Just thought ya'll would like to know that there are Mavericks in the Middle East too. Be back in a couple of months (Hopefully).

You drive in the convoys? My Dad just left for Iraq to drive in the Convoys as a contractor for KBR. He is currently in Kuwait for training but is headed to Anaconda in 2 weeks. If you get lonely for someone to talk Mav with, look him up. He goes by the user name MaverickOutlaw on the MMB. His name is Ray Moore. He's a short guy with a big belly.

Wow..a Maverick! When I was over there, I saw lots of different cars but never a Maverick. Once, I was sitting about a 1/4 mile off a paved highway near the neutral zone and watched a newer mustang zip by me going about 150+. I could still hear him when he was out of site. I put 20,000+ miles on my hummer between Saudi and Kuwait. They drive crazy over there! Be careful.....
