    yep, that was a neat car.

    :clap::D

    i think my car fits the rat rod theme pretty well. and yea, ive actually won a trophy for "Best Rat Rod" back in sept. but its not like there were any other true rat rods there;) but i was definatly excited since that was the look i was going for with it

    ive been thinking of doing a red stripe or something somewhere but i think the primer on primer looks the most "ratty"

    Mines a junk yard dog, only spent money where I needed to to make it reliable.

    I was actually just thinking yesterday, what makes a traditional hot rod, rat rod, muscle car,...the definitions can be a little blurred. I'm trying to build my car like people would have had to back when it was new, or nearly new, without all the aftermarket parts

    That thing has a chopped top, doesn't it?? Wow, talk about some work...and getting glass for it...kudos to that guy.

    Those modified headlamp bezels and square headlights remind me of the Ford prototype convertible and "estate car." Wild...

    chuck, if you look closely you can also see the corners of the hood have all been rounded off and everything matches it. you almost had to kneel to put the keys in the door locks they were so low to the ground. if you saw it you would realize just how much work has actually gone into it. he heard there were going to be a lot of mavericks in elizabethtown, ky. so he drove from illinois, i think, just to try and find us. he pulled up just as we were going in to the swopes auto museum and spent the rest of the weekend with us. i think he had something like 12 mavericks. he dosen't have a computer.:)

    a Maverick Rat Rod? :hmmm: I personally think of older 40's, 50's, and 60's cars when someone uses the term Rat Rod. Not my cup of tea, but it works for some I guess. Here is what Wikipedia says.

    I just want mine to be a "Hot Rod" :drive:
