    I got an e-mail from someone in São Paulo (Brasil) who wants to sell his Maverick station wagon. All I know about the car is that it is a 4 cylinder, and that he wants to sell it for $2000 US.     ...i sure do wish i were a rich guy right now. i would buy that car on a heart beat if i had the cash for it. imagine pulling up to somebody and seeing the look on their face. not only is it a maverick, its a station wagon from brazil!!! i cant think of anything more awesome than that.

    I emailed the guy to see what kind of condition it was in and to see what it would take to get it here. I am seriously interested in this car. If anybody else is let me know cause I don't want to get in a bidding war and I will bow out now. I'd like to see it here in the States no matter who owns it. Preliminary checks indicate that you will have $5-6K in it by time it gets here. Then the restoration begins. I'll keep you posted.

    Registration would be difficult. If I were buying the car, instead of negotitiating the price lower, I would try to get him to incude as many spare parts (exclusive to the wagon) as possible with the buy, because you will catch hell getting them in the states.

    Since it is an older non-emissions vehicle I would just pull the VIN off a old junker Maverick and put it on there ....

    yea you may have a boss 429 in your mav but i have the one and only mav wagon in the states. imagine that!!!! ;)

    uhhhhh i wish todd would use his own name...as for what i think...we Could sneak it across the rio grande....(nobody tell doug he may hijack it to maverick county) it could be like the stanley cup! whichever state in the club has the best turnouts or activity in the club gets to play with the car for six months...
