I don't need another project right now but, it would be neat to have. Is it possible to even get it shipped to the states? I'd hate to see the shipping costs.
Dennis you would look good in that car! Well you would after you have given it the Mavaholic's touch. Terry
I guess it was me who just got cold feet. The guy wanted to do some kind of weird dual bank transfers at my expense. I Didnt see why I just couldnt mail a certified check down to him since he would have plenty of time to clear it before the car was shipped. I had a shipping company lined up and everything. There were some other little things that kept upping the price some too. It was just too much money on my budget to take the chance. Another reason was, I thought it was a Ford produced car. It isnt. Its a 4 door that a big Ford dealer in Brazil did conversions on. By the way, the only thing you need to do to get it through customes was to get wavers from the EPA and DOT. Due to the age of the car, it was exempt from any needed modifications mandated by these two tax dollars sucker uppers.
the dual bank transferes sounds kind of fishy, considering he didn't want to deal with a certified check.did ford ever make a station wagon or were they all 4 dr. conversions?i'm thinking for my next project,i want to transform a 4 dr.into a wagon.i would like to do a 2 dr.,but i can't bring myself to chop one up. chuck.
Ford never made one so I figured if I wanted one that bad, Id convert a 2 door. I always like the Ranchwagons.
Sorta, its sold to a buddy of mine but its still in my yard. He's gonna strip it so I might play with it before it goes. I always liked those rear fender scoops on the 69 Mach 1. Got an idea brewing on how to do it.
Learn something all the time. Dennis, that is interesting factoid about Ford not producing the wagon, that a dealer was responsible fot it.
