Are any of you guys racing your car at the round up? And can you race a maverick on anything except a drag strip?

p.s. I want to race my car. What is the best upgrade to do to it?

do you get anything for winning? just wondering, but is it just a strip to mess around on or is it serious racing?

Donnie, we club members who want to drag race, rent the track for the evening. I think there were 10 of us last year. Probably be a few more than that this year. So it is just us mav/comet people out to have fun. Nothing serious and a real good way for someone to learn a good deal as to what it takes to drag race. Any car can drag race. Does not matter what size engine.

Yes Donnie, just run what you want. There will be a little of everything...anywhere from 15 second cars to 9 second cars. Its just a good time!

As far as winning something?????? Yes you win a couple things.

    1) respect from ALL of us there for taking a 30+ year old car down the track.

    2) Bragging rights over the cars that you beat.

Seriously. No Prize money(that I know of) we are working on trophies or something. Not sure on that yet.
