I know this prolly won't help you much, but I'm running BBK 351 swap headers in my MII'ed Maverick (however, these headers are bolted to an LS-1 motor). These headers wrap around the steering shaft perfectly and required no mods other than swapping flanges to match the heads. If you were wanting to try something "close", I'd recommend them...

so you kept all the pipes the same...but just changed the flange to fit an ls1 motor? i just looked at your pics...i see that they are long tube headers.. do you have a part number? ive been looking at the 351w (fox body) swap headers...but they were shortys..
