Miss June...... well, I put together a calendar each year (I work at a print shop). I have done it for the last 3 years and each year gets better and better(at least IMO). Miss June happens to be Chris and Marcy Stouts awesome 77' Maverick. I do not have any calendars left, sorry. BUT, if you order one for next year, and you remind me, I would be more than glad to stick the 2005 calendar I have hanging on my office wall in as well.....you just got to remind me later on this year
I will post more info about it later on in the year. But my plans are to get most/if not all of the calendar cars for 2006 at the Round-up in July. I have always had to wait and wait for enough good quality pictures to be sent in. This year I will hand pick the cars at the Round-up, take them to "neat" location around Owensboro and snap some photo's. this should help me in my quest to get them done earlier this year than in the past.
Wow! What you are doing is awsome! I think it would be so cool to have my car in a calander. I havent seen your work on the calander, do you have owner stories or vehicle background stories and stuf, or just pics?
actually, 2005 was the first time I had the car owner, engine/tranny specs and location. I really turned out nice. Each year we learn a little more and do a better job everytime. It is very cool to have it hanging on the wall....you would be surprised how many people here at work try to "sneak" one home with them.
I sure wish I lived closer, seems most members live your way. I have never been able to enter or go to a meet as my comet has been down for most of her life. She's coming around though, hopefuly by summers end. Keep me/us posted.
your only 818 miles away from the Round-up....how close do you want to get I promise you have never seen anything like it. I will keep everyone updated on the calendar
Ok ok, just a thought, but, if one could select a background or theme place for their car shoot(pics), I think a drive in theater or drive in root beer hamburger joint place is where I would go,u like?
that sounds good. here is a run down of some of the backgrounds this year. * state park in front of a log cabin. * Parking lot with, what looks like, the hollywood hills behind it. * Ocean beach in Washington state * Airport runway (I believe) * Cars in front of a old lighthouse * in front of the FORD Headquarters * in front of an old time gas station I have always stressed for unique pictures....I think that is just as important as the car in the photo.
Chris' Mavs paint looks like the color chrome nascar die cast on QVC. Love that color, (sorry about that for those of you without a calender ) Russ
