I have a bunch of parts from my 302 that i dont plan on using. I was just wondering is it a good idea to just keep them around just in case or do you think i could get something for them? Things like the crank, cam and heads. Just wanted to hear your guys opinions. im just curious Thanks
well what i just thought of right after i posted that, i maybe able to build another 302 for my 4door if my dad still has his block in the his trailer haha and the a/c stuff i'd have to check when i get home, because i'm in PA at school at the moment
my auto teacher told me something that people should know (here we go) a motor is for something electrical and an engine takes gas WOO thats confusing until you think about it
If you own a ford you better have a big collection of spare parts lying around of you want to keep it going!
Keep the parts...when you find a junk-yard 5.0 to swap in, most of the parts needed to make it fit in the mav will come from the 302. So keep it all. You won't know which little bracket or part you will need until you do the swap... After the swap, you will have lots of parts to sell or give away.
Thanks for your guys opinions. My dad has a pretty big collection of ford parts, i guess i need to start mine lol. Maybe i can collect enough so he'll trade me my parts for his 427. dont see that happening
