    They are loud.
At least on my Chevelle they were. (350 w/LT headers)
    Louder than FM 40s.
I was pulled over in Memphis and accused of not having mufflers.
I told the cop to turn his head and he could see the mufflers hanging in front of the rear end... the guy had the nerve to say "it's not my job to look, I know you don't have mufflers" then he handed me the ticket.

    Nice cop.

I hope you waved really nice and big at him as he left, with right middle finger extended proudly  :tsk:

Which of those smilies looks more appropriate?

That's a dirty, lying cop....and I'd fight that in court...AND I'd file a complaint with his superior officer....

Sorry about that Dave. If it was me I would have pulled you over so I could get a good look at the car. Some Officers don't know any better.

We got pulled over in my dad's old 84/87/89 Mustang GT once for doing 80 in a 65. When the cop ran the insurance he came back and asked why the car was registered as a '84 when it was a '87? My dad started telling him about swapping all the body parts, one thing led to another and they were standing there on the side of the road with the hood up looking at the engine and haveing a whole conversation about it. Turns out the cop was building an '81 LX for drag racing. He ended up cutting the speeding ticket in half. Man, I'll never forget that. :)
