Hello everyone! Im new around. Only had the Mav for about a month now but its been sitting on the side of my dads house for over 8 years, before he moved and finally gave it to me..! Its a 1970 200 i6 that came dark green (vin decode) Once I towed it home, it was down to business.. Cats lived in the car over the years because there was a huge field behind our backyard. The car stayed covered but the driver side door glass came off its track, leaving it down.. Well, now its completely gutted so i can replace the carpet, headliner and have the stock benches recovered.. i Just replaced the oil, filter, spark plugs, cap & rotor, battery, fuel filter and rubber fuel lines and finally started it, good engine too.. It already had an electric fuel pump but the mechanical one is still lingering in the block.. is this ok to leave it there?... Also, while trying to put the window back on track it got jamed and burst!!... Now I looking for a new one with not much luck in town.. Any Help, I'll pay the s/h?... I LOVED this car since it was towed to my dads house.. Hes a BIG CHEVY HEAD and got the car for free and never touched it but continued to build many more cars...NOW ITS MINE.. Please leave me with some input
Welcome to the center of the Maverick/Comet universe!!! Was that car originally purple??? Its a rare color!!!
Its actually blue, or was until it faded... Thanks for all the welcomes everyone.. I feel so at home! Still out front working hard, so theres more pictures to come.. Wish i could find a drivers door glass..
