my mav is slowly coming along

    I got the 5.0/C4 dropped in last night , still need to prime the oil pump and get everything hooked up . I also finaly got the drivers side torque box done , man what a pain in the behind. The picture makes my welds look worse than they realy are :slap: .

    I got traction bars , new leaf springs and all new brake stuff put on a while back too . Now I just need to put in a set of 3.00 gears , locker and a gear venders overdrive unit :drive: .

    I found a place that will paint it for grand using 3 coats of ppg paint so as soon as I replace my 1/4 panel and doors its going in for paint :bouncy: !

    I got a stupid question for y`all , will it hurt the tranny at all if I start the engine with no valve body in it ? I still havn`t been able to find a stock 70-82 valve body :( .

    Dont do it. Are you looking for new or used? you can find a couple transmission shops online that build them for street strip level for about 150 bux. you could probably use the online junkyard search for one if you dont want new.:huh:

    I have a whole valve body I just need a stock seporator plate so I can drill a hole on my b&m plate . Whoever had the tranny before me put a shift kit in it but didn`t drill the last hole :rolleyes: .

    NAford302 , I might need to take you up on that offer if my other plans don`t work out .
