a maverick sprint was only an option in 1972 and you could get a mustang sprint or a pinto sprint or a Maverick Sprint and it looked like this :thumbs2:

came with fender badges/sticker and lots of blue, white and some red! :)

The Grabber, Stallion, LDO, and Comet GT were all just options. The Maverick Sprint was much more than just an option.

It is the only Maverick that was built in conjunction to an event. It was conceived to commemorate the '72 Olympics, thus the flag shield on the rear quarters and the red, hite, and blue color scheme.

In my opinion, they are the most colorful of the Mavericks and are very sought after. Of course, I am bias, lol.

By the way, that interior is in great shape. Add the stripes and shields and you are in business.

Gotta love that Red, White, and Blue!!

Nice car. I'm redoing mine now. Dennis Martin who goes by the name Mavaholic on here is the keeper of the Sprint registry. Get ahold of him. Thanks for the pics.:thumbs2:

    Very nice car! (y)
I also have a v8 Sprint. Will be repainting it soon. Yes, put the blue back on the paint. It makes all the difference in the world. :)

They are usually found somewhere on the radiator support. I had a 72 Grabber and it was on the passenger side of the radiator support just behind the grill.
