Naw Frank, one of the black rings around it is actually and on/off switch, but by the time I get all the dash lights and gauges lit along with the seven inch touch screen in the console, it will be quite illuminated inside, I figure with an all black interior it wont be too bright.

This keyboard has been through hell, I got it used for like $1.00 at a yard sale and it was covered in dust, I have attempted to clean it many times but most of it wont come off, I just can't bring myself to change it out, I have alot of trouble with keeping keyboards that I get working, it may look bad but it works great!! looks like it may have had very sticky stuff spilled on it at one time, maybe I should try some goof off on it.

Maybe not, if it is working probably shouldn't do anything to it.

Where did you get the shifter at anyway? I'm very interested.

you can run a keyboard through a dishwasher as long as you run no detergent, and let it dry for 3 days before plugging it back in.

That said, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Got the shift knob off of e-bay, not too bad on the price and they have other colors too, the seller I bought mine from sent the wrong one the first time so I called them and told them they sent one without lights and it was the wrong style, he wanted pics and so I sent pics and they sent the correct one out and said keep the other one! it runs off of batteries so there is no wires attached, I might one day modify it to run off of the cars power and do away with the batteries, but it should look cool in there anyways.

http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh579/Moneymaker-1/PIC_0669.jpg pic of the wrong one sent, seems like it would be good for a between the seats emergency brake as it has a button to push.
