I just purchased a 1973 Maverick . It is a two door with a straight 6 250and automatic transmition. It has 66000 original miles and looks great. I have a problem when the car is cold it doesnt want to start unless you pump the peddal like mad before you turn the key and even then it takes several tries before it will start and keep running. I was wondering if I should get a carb kit and clean the carb and install the kit or just buy a new carb??? If I buy a new carb which one should I buy????? I just want it to run good I dont want to run time runs with it. I was also wondering if anyone made a throttle boddy injection conversion kit??? Next Question This thing still has points , what about switching out the distributor to a pointless system???? any info would be apreciated. Last Question Does anyone have any info on putting diskbrakes on the front of my 1973 Maverick. It has four wheel drum brakes and it takes a lot of pressure to stop and a lot of room. I love my Maverick but I just want to give it a little upgrade
