Melling used to make a cam back in the day that sounded like what you want, Less than 500 lift and had a decent lope. The part # was RYB12. They may still sell this cam, And usually it can be bought from any where that sells Melling parts.

Thats a tough question to answer. Decide what brand you like and call them up. They can help you over the phone and will tell you what you need to make it work as a package. My first Mav that I built out of high school was built from a bare shell around the camshaft I picked out. That cam was the heart of the car so to speak. It was 512 lift and 300 duration. Cant remember the rest of the specs(20 years ago). The drivetrain and suspension took a ton of planning and set up. It did exactly what I wanted and worked great as a package. You have to realize that the lopey idle comes with a set of issues you have to expect and plan for. Comp ratio, heads and flow, exhaust size, ignition, trans, converter, gears, tires, suspension, engine cooling, trans cooling, low vacuum, rocker arms and studs, push rods, oiling, the list grows and grows as you build power.
Tell the manufacturer the extent to which you are prepared to go to and they can help. Unless your prepared to get very involved be careful with the lift.

hi guys, i have i question for all.I use a Iskenderian cam with 312/312, lob 104, and lift .574 and work well. But i wanted to make up grade, and a shopman recomend me to use a erson (304º/308° lobe – 106º and lift.653/.653). What you thing? These cam is a good purpose?

Pretty sure that cam was the same as what Summit sells under their house brand P/N K3601.
