earl, do you have pics. of the prep work you did before you put the carpet in? did you get finished with the seat install? ...terry's, dad's, friend...frank...
Frank; no, I didn;t take pics, but I haven't finished yet, either. I am picking up some more vinyl dye to do the back panels, then I can put in the seats, and get it going. I guess I get to working, and forget the pics. I did: remove the old carpet, adhesive and insulation; scuff all the rust, apply POR15 to the floor. Put in foil insulation on the floor and in the panel voids, as well as the inside wheel tubs, to quieten it down. The carpet went down easy, just like it is supposed to. Hopefully be done tonight, or by the weekend, for sure. Thanks for asking. See you Saturday!
I have noticed that there is several of you guys down there in GA. I was just wondering how close any of you might be anywhere near Conyers...... I have some family down there and every once in a blue moon I go down to visit. And if any of you guys are close I would love to get together sometime..... Neal
Neal; I live about 30miles from Conyers, and most of us in the Atlanta area are within 50 miles. Frank is in Macon, about 60 miles away. When you are down this way, give us a shout, and we can arrange to meet. Any idea when? Till then, take care,
Sounds like you did the same thing I did. I cleaned, coated the entire floor with Eastwood Rust Encapsolator and layed down a complete Mustang Underlayment kit (with some trimming). Then installed the carpet and padding on top of that ...
I'm about 15 - 20 miles from Conyers (depends on how I go). In fact, my family, is some form or another, is in Conyers quite often. Let us know when you're here.
To be honest I do not remember what year Mustang I used ... I know the front needed some trimming as well as the piece under the rear seat. I also remember that the one piece that went over the tranny tunnel had holes for the front seat belts and they lined up perfectly.
