New fuel lines

    i need new fuel lines for my 72 maverick i would like to have them already bent. does anyone know where i might be able to find reproduction lines for my car? i bought the tubing to try and do it my self but im having problems. i have even heated the line in order for it to bent easier but the line is still bending in placing where i dont want it to bend ....

    Are you bending the line by hand, or with a tubing bender? If you're doing it by hand, you're going to have a hard time. Get one of the tubing benders at a auto parts store. They work pretty good, and are not too high (around $10). If you don't want to do that, try and find a pulley off of an engine. You can place the tubing in the pulley and bend the line that way. It doesn't work as good as a bender...but it is better than doing it by hand.

    If i can't find a bender, i'll try the pully trick for plumbing new tranny THANKS. lasttime, did it all by hand "notfun"

    When I ran my brake lines, I used the top part of a Coke bottle(lip under cap). worked good for tighter bends. I don't know if this is of any help, but I thought I would mention it.

    Definitely buy a bender.......but a 5/16 boxed end will work....been there done that.

    Fill the tubing with sand. I've heard it will prevent kinks.
