Hi, my name is Jordan and I am from Missouri. I am considering buying a Maverick if I can find one with a decent body in Missouri. I love the look and think that there is much potential. Hope to be joining the crowd by the end of the summer

I live in Columbia. I put an ad in the wanted section but it may be a month or two before I have enough money for even an OK car.

    Patience is a virtue!

I bought a fair 1975 Mav. for $1000.00 a few years back. In my hunt for "small bumpers" I found and bought a 1970 Mav. from the original owner, for half the money! The car has been stored in a garage since 1992 and has 70K on the clock and the interior is mint! I found a very good deal and I am willing to bet that you will find them in your area with a little time and looking!
    Good Luck,
    Dave

p.s. - Both of mine are 2 door cars.

Cool. I found one in KC that doesnt have an engine in it it right now or trans. It also needs new floor pans. The guy wants 600 for it and I thought was a little more than it was worth given the condition.

    Floor pans

Let me know if you find a source for floor pans, my 75 can be patched but replaced would be better.
Keep in mind to check the cowl!! Pour a glass of water in the cowl vent in front of the windshield and see if the floor boards get wet, if they are rusted out chances are the cowl is rusted out too! I had to rebuild the cowl on the 75 because of this, dirt and debris gets in there and plugs the drains that are inside the front fenders and water cant escape and eventually rots out the cowl area above the pedals. Mustangs in the late 60's had the same issue.
If the body is straight except the floor pans this may be a good hot rod project. Also check the wheel house in the trunk behind the rear wheels. If these "hotspots" are in good shape it makes your project cheaper and easier!
    Happy hunting,
    Dave (y)

he sent me some pictures of it and it has a lot of rust right behind the door on the rocker panel. I think that I am going to hold out for a nicer car. Thanks for the tip though, I need to check this on my dads mustang, that thing leaks like crazy. Thanks, moms70, I appreciate you keeping your eyes open for me. I am actually from centralia so I know exactly where paris is.
