Hello all. i'm new at all of this, but it's really cool to see i'm not the only one who knows what a maverick is. A little background on me- i'm a 21 year old FEMALE gearhead; something almost unheard of here in my area- wisconsin. i own a 76 maverick 2 door which i bought from my neighbor for 900 bucks- a real steal when you consider it came with a big box of extra parts and it was from alabama. currently i am in the process of making it run- it had a blown v6 in it when i bought it. so i'm throwing a 302 in it and reforming it into a show car. I like all muscle cars, anything old i want to own... i don't think anyone but my dad really understands how serious about cars i am... anyway back to work for now...
Wow, I cant think of 1 girl that was interested in cars back in my younger days. Glad to see their finally comming around. Welcome.
Hey, T.L., she probably wasn't around for the first half of your life. Welcome to the board, foxy. My fifteen year old daughter is helping me restore a Maverick for her first car. :bananaman
Welcome to the board foxy. It's great to have another lady moterhead joining our ranks. I also have a 76' Maverick and a 77' Maverick too. Do you have any pictures of your Maverick you could post?
I'm teaching my daughter who is 4, she is so interested in helping her dad. I hope she stays interested. Anyways, good luck with the Mavericks, cars are alot of fun and these guys on this board love to help everyone...someone has an answer for every question you could think of. I sometimes feel guilty always asking questions but never answering any.
erik thats awesome that youre getting your little girl involved- reminds me of me when i was that age, i think i was born with a wrench in my hands. my dad loves it that we actually have something in common. he didn't want a girl at first, but now he wouldn't trade me for the world.
