    Hello,

I think i'm the only one from my country in this page. However, haven't seen any maverick's in Poland appart from mine, which i found in some garden :)

It;s yellow 71, 200cc with black Vinyl top, and excellent interior cond.
Now i'm "repairing" the floor, new paint (of course original yellow) and so on.

I also have an easy questions:

    - i need to change the oil, what kind of oil would be the best (15w50, 10w40, 15w50 or sth else)? The car doesn't smoke, doesn't eat oil, also no leaks. And how much oil?

    Thanks :)

your car is actually a 200 CI (cubic inches)

CC means cubic centimetres, big diffrence

i believe the oil spec is 4.5 quarts, but like jeff said, i just throw the whole 5 in

    Welcome!

    3300cc or 3.3L

It's fun to imagine how a Maverick ended up in a garden in Poland.

Probably started with an American soldier stationed in West Germany during the Cold War. The GIs usually had their cars shipped over, but once they changed hands several times, they never got sent home. When I was over there in the 70s as a brat, the US cars got swapped constantly between GIs. I imagine that as they got older, they began to fall into ownership of the locals... Either that or the GIs abandoned them in the countryside.

I remember some really neat cars over there...

Welcome! I have made friends with people in other countries from this club and forum. 10W40 should be ok to use. See if you can buy an owners manual for your Maverick or Ford service manuals form the internet. Mabe ebay. Swap meets and Ford dealers are other good places to go an find parts and books. Sometimes club members have stuff they could sent to you if possible. You can find many answers right here!
