New member from Wichita, KS. I've been sort-of-looking for a new home for a 302 and AOD from an '82 Lincoln that has too many problems to keep fixing....collected a few pieces for it, looking for a few more, and then I want to put it back to work. I'm not all that interested in Mustangs and Cougars, hadn't really thought about a Maverick or Comet but ran across a couple sharp ones while browsing eBay and got to thinking that just might work. I also have a '76 LTD and a '79 F-250 so I'm not unfamiliar with older Fords, but this will be the first car I've ever owned that I'm actually trying to build up a bit.
& The 302 will fill at home in the Maverick......You may have to modify the trans tunel for the AOD. Keep us informed of the project
you should see the mavericks i have seen in wichita, a couple nice ones that need some rust fixed by that was a couple of months ago.
I haven't seriously looked for one....probably wait until this fall. All signs are that this summer is going to be busy at work and I don't have a place to store another car yet anyway. Appreciate the welcome, and once I find a car and start working on it, I don't doubt I'll be back here looking for help.
