Hello Comet/Maverick Club. I married my beautiful bride in Oct. of 1974, and she had purchased a 1972 Comet Gt as her first new car. Needless to say, money got tight and we had to sell her beloved car. Fast forward 30 plus years and I want to replace that car. She has tolerated my dream of owning a 55 Nomad, which is being restored now. So, Hello everyone. Have a happy and safe holy day season.:Handshake
I left a reply... ...on another post of yours. There is a burgandy 4 spd. '72 or '71 GT for sale in Charlotte, NC. See the website. I have seen the car in person. It appears to be clean and straight. Non original paint sans the stripes. Magnum wheels and non-original 4 spd. But, it is not butchered. Nice driver or project for concours resto. Seth
Good thing my wife doesn't want me to replace HER first car...an Illinois rustbucket 84' Mazda 626...I remember breaking or stripping every bolt I ever tried to remove on that car. At least I ended up with her great grandmother's Maverick Oh yeah, and good luck in your pursuits.
Thanks I want to thank everyone for welcoming me to the club. I have been a member for awhile, just never posted as a new member before.:Handshake
