I am looking into getting a Crate 302 or a long block for my maverick. Was wondering where would be the best place to look at the most affordable prices.

There are alot of good crate motors out there. Pick yourself up a "Mustang & Ford" magazine and start calling. The price you end up with is never the advertised price....."add a little here put this there". I had my entire motor built oil pan to carb, water pump to flex-plate by a local guy(60 miles away) and I had ALL brand new stuff except the block. I put pretty much the best of everything on it, Eagle, SRP, Lunati, Manley, AFR and ARP and I got it ALOT cheaper than DSS, Livernois, Coast High or any of those guy could buid it for. Do a little research, go to some rod runs and maybe visit your local track or performance shops and ask for some references. But the end decision is yours. Good luck.
