    Missing my old '70 Maverick
Hey guys. I haven't posted in a while but I had to share this bit of sad/glad news.

My oldest brother's boss in South Carolina recently fell on bad health (comotostic endometriosis) and had to move out of his shop that he's had since the 60's. His wife (of 60 years) came across an old cedar filing cabinet in the back room of his shop when they were packing up to move out (tidbit info: the shop burned to the ground exactly one week later).

In the cedar cabinet were old magazines, dust, moths, spider webs, and Polaroids of muscle cars of the 60's through 80's. Anyway, she came across a picture of unique looking Maverick that she thought my brother might know something about. He couldn't believe his eyes so he sent it to me to to help confirm it's authenticity.

Background: The Shelby Mavericks were the only ones to have special hood (including factory hood-pins), factory Weld racing wheels, and more specifically (and telling), the Shelby emblem in the grill.

    Without further ado, THE PHOTO

This should forever put an end to the question of whether or not there was ever a Shelby Maverick.

'Hope all are you guys are doing well. :beerchug:

Thanks, Scoop. I see it's been a scorcher in Texas. If there's any water left in a local lake, I suppose you're in it. I hear both Conroe and Lake Houston are way down. Stay cool. :Handshake

not much water left at all. Boat ramps are all closed.

This is not my house. I am not rich. But I live in the same neighborhood, on the "poor" side of the neighborhood.
