I recently bought the weiand High flow water pump and it looks like my water filler neck is not going to fit on my intake…any suggestions?

Is it an issue with the little bypass hose? That's the only thing I can think of where the water pump and the water neck are remotely connected.

Now that I typed that I have a feeling it may be due to the pump housing, maybe thicker where the two are close to each other?

That looks like the neck for my 5.0 motor. I thought 302's were different.

    You're correct, orig 302 necks have a 45* angle...

Kind of hard to help when the pictures don't match the problem.

Even harder when the OP doesn't return to join the conversation! BTW, I posted the picture in the OPs absence hoping to spur conversation with him which is why it doesn't match the problem.

Your T stat housing will clear it as long as its an old school 302 housing....That inboard bolt will be the pita though. Thats' s.o.p. for a 302, just stick the bolt in the hole before putting the housing in place.

You could allways clearance the pump in that area...Lots of meat there on the pump.
