About a month or so ago, I wanted to figure out why my courtesy lights weren't working so I went to pull the fuse and the fuse broke, along with the clip. I then pulled the box to see what I would have to do and it was a nightmare from there on. 2 circuits pulled from the clips.
So i ordered new clips and just got them and wired 1 in already, put the fuse in, and I have no current going anywhere.
In the diagram i circled in green which one is completed and the other red one circled is the one that's still hanging loose to be done. Does that need to get done for whatever reason?
like I said, no head and taillights, ignition, turn signal, or dome light which should be the one I just fixed. battery is showing 12.5 volts and i cleaned the ground cable a bit.

by the way, this car's fuse box location SUCKS BIG TIME. even the wiring is short. I get a cramp just trying to work under there for a couple minutes.

Yep you wont find a single good word about our fuse box on this site. There is some info on replacing it or relocating it. Search tech articles maybe.

Finish fixing your fuse box you can't really figure out anything until you do that.

You could have lots of other issues all adding up. Check your fusible links, check your headlight switch, check your ignition switch.

Can you still start the car? I went down this road last year myself.

take a meter and see if you have power coming in to any of the prongs. There should be power to the fuse box on some of the prongs.

it won't crank. there's no light on any of my gauges like there's supposed to be.
There is also no voltage anywhere on that box.

id say your problem lies around the battery. No ground..bad battery... fuse-able link...
I would meter across the battery terminals. Then positive to chassis

The bolt connection through the firewall has to be tight.. Or else you will have nothing.. Give it a wiggle and see what happens.. Mine isn't extremely tight (might be a ground to the body trough this bolt?) and I had a big issue trying to find the problem till I was screwing around down there and found it

my ground cable is ok for now. I got 12.5 v on the terminals. where's a fusible link to check? what do you mean on the last part?
you know I wondered about this but wasn't sure. I have it off the firewall and just hanging to do my repair. I also had a problem putting it back on the last time I had it on. I put the bolt in and it just never got tight.

Do yourself a favor and relocate the fusebox like described in the tech article. I'm looking forward for the day when it comes a time to change out a fuse.

I own a stickshift so that's not going to work. Besides, I still would rather know the exact problem at this time.

If you look on the battery side of the starter solenoid you will see some other wires than the battery cable bolted on with it. They will have what looks like a piece of plastic molded in them just before the eyelet to bolt them on. That is the fusible link. Sometimes they get corroded, weak and brake inside, and sometimes they get blown from a short or too much current draw. Checking them with an Ohm meter sometimes will show they are good, I always check them with a test light so they have some Amp draw on them.

What I meant is put a meter on the pos terminal of the battery and then touch the chassis ground to see if you still have voltage. That would mean your ground is good. When I got my car, my block to chassis ground wire was missing. I had to replace it.
